Ratty 1965 MGB for $275. I'm not missing a zero, that is a sub-$500 MG. What do you guys think? Seems like a screaming deal to me.

I've seen a fair amount of $500-ish MGs, they've all had one thing in common:
No engine
Little to no interior
This had both, so I'm going to say NP.

I see a lot more than $275 in parts. Wire wheels alone worth that and more.

That engine does look to be cleanish. I remebr before you were mentioning you wanted something with the spirit of a Ferrari. A little MG might be the cure!

Heck, for $250 worth of experience on wrenching on something you aren't afraid to break - nice price!

that's a steal at that price with little to no body rust, although if its been sitting awhile with the top down/no top it'll need new floors
(but then again what 40 year old convertible doesn't need new floors

Worse comes to worse, it's probably worth that in scrap metal alone.

With wire wheels and a good convertible top frame, Cletus, you would be stupid to not jump on that. You are in Canada? I will be there if you don't take that.

Does it have floors? If it has anything resembling floors, and if the frame is only the kind of Swiss cheese with the small holes rather than the large ones, then NP all day.

That's fantastic! I'd spend that on the wire wheels alone and I don't even have something to put them on!

Unibody, so tinworm is slightly more serious. However doglegs actually look pretty clean, which is usually where problems first appear on the exterior. If those are going, the sills are usually further along. Dogleg/sills are more of a pain than the floors since they are a box structure with an interior stiffener. Weird shutline on driver's side might indicate an issue but looks like it might be savable if the structure on the driver's side isn't compromised.

I had a stupidly fun idea for this car:
Strip the paint, wire-brush finish and clear coat it. Put one of those shark mouth paint jobs on the front (like a Spitfire plane) and replace the engine with a 3-cylinder Ecoboost.
Just out of curiosity, where is this car located?
